Professional Community
New Leaf’s Professional Community brings together professional clinicians and others supporting culturally competent therapy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals who are most in need. Members of the Professional Community participate in the following ways:
- Supervise an intern on a weekly basis
- See a client or run a group at New Leaf
- Provide an educational training to New Leaf trainees or staff
- Make a financial gift of $150 or more
- Any combination of the above
By joining this group, therapists fulfill a responsibility to serve the greater community. Members of our Professional Community also help low-income clients who cannot afford private therapy by referring them to New Leaf. Members are invited to informal events throughout the year to network and discuss relevant treatment issues affecting our communities.
Click here for a list of Professional Community members for Fiscal Year 2006-2007. For information about joining the Professional Community, please contact the Clinical Director, Steve Harlow, at 626-7000, or sharlow@newleafservices.org.
